Introducing our church

​

St Margaret's Church is a diverse family of Christians in Ilford, seeking to deepen our faith, serve the local community, and worship the Lord “in the beauty of holiness” (Psalm 96.9).

 

The congregation is diverse in terms of nationalities, age, culture, sexuality and physical and mental ability. We are part of the Church of England and a member of the Inclusive Church network, striving to welcome everyone.

 

St Margaret’s has a liberal-catholic ethos, which sets the tone for our worship and fellowship. We place a strong emphasis on providing a place for people to come together, find God and support each other. We offer children of all ages an opportunity to enjoy our services, with an active Sunday School for younger children and opportunities for teenagers and young adults to participate in services. The church supports local community projects, holds social events, and opportunities to deepen understanding of the Christian faith - such as faith exploration classes, bible studies, Advent/Lent courses, baptism and confirmation preparation - are held throughout the year.
