Baptism

Baptism (commonly called christening) is when a person is baptised with water. Usually it is a baby or small child who is baptised - but adults can be baptised too! It's the first step of an amazing journey of faith with God, parents, godparents, friends, family and the Church. At St Margaret's baptisms take place as part of our Sunday morning service. Contact us if you'd like to find out more.

Funerals

Getting married in church means you make your solemn promises to each other not only in front of your family and friends, but in the sight of God and with God's blessing.  St Margaret's is a beautiful and light church which would make a perfect setting for your wedding day. We'd love to help you explore whether it's the right choice for you.

Funerals are an important way of marking the close of a human life on earth. They provide the opportunity for friends and family to come together, express their grief and, at the same time, give thanks for and commend their loved one to God's keeping. We'll always be here to help you through one of life's most difficult times. A Christian funeral at St Margaret's is available to everyone.

St Margaret's has been a place of commemoration and celebration for many decades. From large concerts, to intimate receptions, school services, anniversaries, parades, performances, civic and cultural celebrations; our experience and imagination are large and your enquiries are welcome.
